Flying Over Orlando

We took a quick two-hour jaunt in the air with my man and daughter over Orlando.

Now that's a Hidden Mickey!

Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain is the white round building in the foreground.

More Magic Kingdom. Can you see the castle?

Hidden Mickeys at Animal Kingdom

There are so many Hidden Mickey's at Animal Kingdom, especially in a huge mural inside Conservation Station. Here's a collage of 16 that we found. There were more but we stopped at 16. Click on the image to see it at Flickr. I'm new at this, so hopefully this is going to work. :)

More Hidden Mickeys

At Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest, a stone statue of a Yeti has Mickey ears popping out from its base.

In the outdoor portion of the line for Expedition Everest, clouds on a carved mural have Mickey Ears.

Inside the line for Expedition Everest, an ink splotch is shaped like Mickey.

Also inside the line, a small stuffed Yeto has Mickey ears.

Outside Expedition Everest, on a slab, is Mickey's head, upside down.

Over at Hollywood Studios, Harry Anderson placed Mickey Ears in a tie he drew in the concrete.

Carol Burnett gave her character in concrete Mickey Ears.

In the line for Star Wars, this employee notice is considered a Hidden Mickey.

This one is also in our Hidden Mickey book, but really...not so hidden. This one is also inside the Star Wars ride.

Over at Magic Kingdom, while traveling on the TTA (Tomorrowland Transportation Authority), you can find a hidden Mickey on this woman's belt if you look quickly enough.

More Mickeys

Haven't felt bloggy lately, so here are some pictures of hidden Mickeys. I took a day off from work on Wednesday to go to Magic Kingdom with some friends who were down from Atlanta at the park.

In Minnie's house, she had a figurine with Mickey windows.

In Minnie's kitchen, pots and two pans hanging make the shape of Mickey's head.

In line to Goofy's Barnstormer, there are several towers holding cooling fans. Only one has this hidden Mickey scrollwork.

While in line for the Barnstormer, I happen to look down and see this..

Isabel is holding hands with a girl. That we don't know. It was funny. The girl just grabbed Iz's hand and she was alright with it. They held hands up to the front of the ride. It was a COLD day (for us Floridians) and the static was everywhere.

Off The Road, People!

Yesterday we went to Disney (what else is new, I know). We were at Epcot.

Back in 2000, for the New Millennium celebration, I had my and Jacob's picture etched onto the...monoliths I suppose, at the entrance to Epcot. Here's Jacob yesterday, pointing to where we are.

Here's the close-up. Isn't it cool? We're a little piece of Disney history. Jake was 6 and I was 31 or 32.

The lines were minimal. I'm telling you, now is the BEST time to be in the parks. In the queue to Test track, we found this Hidden Mickey. You can only see this one if you are facing it head-on. The ears are on another contraption behind the round # 7, so if you are looking at it from any other angle you can't see it. Pretty neat.

On the way home, we decide to take I-4. All of a sudden, swarms of police and deputy vehicles surround us. SWARMS. Seminole county, Orange County, Orlando City, Maitland, Oviedo, Florida Highway Patrol. You name it, they were WHIZZING by us. Traffic was touch and go on the brakes.

Obama was in Daytona, Palin's somewhere in Central Florida. Was this hubbub for them? We scan the radio stations - nothing. Not a thing!

Right around Sanford/Lake Mary, we're complety diverted off the Interstate. Sorry, blurry pictures ahead.

Below, you see a car in the grass, rammed by a police car. It's a Dodge Intrepid. We still have no clue what is going on.

This morning, I check the news channels on-line, and this is what was happening.

Scrappy Gals & Halloween?

Last weekend Saturday was spent at home in our PJ's ALL DAY. I decided to bring out all my scrapbook stuff and make some cards. I asked Isabel if she'd like to help. She thought it was great fun. Check out some Isabel originals.

Sunday we went really late to the Magic Kingdom, but they were open until I think 11 p.m. anyway so we had plenty of time. Jake, on the other hand, opted to go to the mall with a girrrrrl and the girl's mom.

As we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, on September 1 mind you, we realized something was different. They had decorated for Halloween. Click the pictures to make them bigger.

We like it! I love the pumpkin man behind pumpkin lady here. He's holding a Mickey Doll. Speaking of Mickey's, we found this Hidden Mickey in the garage of Mickey's House. There was another one; rocks in the grass of Mickey's backyard of his house, but it was too dark and my camera's night shot stinks.

¿Donde Esta Mickey? En Epcot!

Ready for more Hidden Mickeys?

Tough. I'm posting them anyway! The first two were in Spaceship Earth. Otherwise known as the "big golf ball" at Epcot. The first one below, is a number 3 on a mural at the entrance, shaped like Mikey ears.

This next one as inside the ride. A man picking paint samples at a desk.

Outside, at the information board, the "O" in Epcot is the Earth, and Australia is shaped like Mickey. Kind-of hard to see in this picture, and also in person as it goes by really fast.

Next up we went into "The Land." This one, upside down on a globe seems like a stretch on guide's part.

In The Land building, there's a boat ride called "Living with the Land." There's a mural of a farmer and farmland. I went by too fast to get it, but you can see where I've outlined Mickey below.

Same ride. Some Mickeys are very obvious, like these two.

Hmmm, where is this one?

In Morocco, we found some more. Some obvious,

some waaaay up on building awnings,

and some hidden in murals for beautiful princesses to pose in front of.

In Japan, some Koi swim near Mickey,

while near a miniature village in Germany, some windows show off Mickey's ears.
